Get to Know Alex

I am the Brandywine School District Board of Education Re My wife and I are the parents of two wonderful children in the Brandywine School District. Our children have benefited from an outstanding academic and musical education, and vibrant, energetic, caring, teachers and support staff who dedicate so much to all of the children in their classrooms. We have learned to navigate the challenging IEP process and work with a team to support our child's unique and individual learning needs. That is why I joined the Brandywine School District Board of Education, and the Wilmington Learning Collaborative, because I wanted all children in our district to have the best possible education just like my children have.

As an attorney representing financial institutions for over ten years, and a U.S. Army officer, I have learned the importance of financial transparency and effective management, and I bring those skills to my work on the BSD Board. I am running for reelection to the BSD Board because I have seen how outstanding a Brandywine School District education can be, and I want to make sure BSD meets its full potential. I also want to increase data transparency for parents, make sure our teachers, administrators and paraprofessionals are fully supported and increase student academic achievement.
